: the dakota room :
THIS used to be where my friends played Scott Walker solo records and contemplated their own mortality. But uh, the interviews are now collecting dust and many of the Web pages to which I used to link are sadly no longer extant. So I'm gonna have to re-think things a bit. In the meantime, this picture of Dave M. and I at Dave's boyfriend's friend's wedding reception (I didn't think of it as crashing, exactly), which effectively captures the spirit of what the Dakota Room was supposed to be about:
